Coaching delivers improved management performance, helps executives manage business complexity, and accelerates leadership development." - The Harvard Business Review Research Report
Does this sound like you?
- You are committed to making a difference in your community
- You’ve chosen to work in the nonprofit sector because it allows you to contribute and have meaningful work
- You have spent the past 5 or more consecutive years working for nonprofits and see yourself staying in the nonprofit sector
- You’ve noticed that your friends in the corporate and government sectors get a lot more perks and chances for professional development than you do...
Yep. Most nonprofits—even large ones—don’t offer many opportunities to extend your training, build a muscle for management, or learn skills to better manage burnout so you can stay for the long haul.
I’m out to change that.
I’m out to change that.
Before I shifted careers to become a coach, I spent nearly 30 years working for nonprofits, mostly in fundraising and communications. I love my nonprofit colleagues (like you!)—talented, creative people who work very hard for little money, and who dedicate their careers to mission-driven work.
As my way of both giving back and also paying it forward, I’m dedicating two pro bono spots in my client roster for nonprofit staffers.

"I am really glad your coaching came into my life when it did. I've been operating in a bubble, trying to do all this on my own, and it has been like a light went on in the old attic. I'm energized by the work I'm doing with you."
What do you get?For a one-time $200 administrative fee, you get a 6-month coaching contract ($1,600 value) that includes: an initial 90-minute session; two 45-minute sessions/month for 6 months; and ongoing support via regular emails/texts so you stay on track and in action. This is a total of 10.5 hours of coaching over 6-7 months!
You get to pursue your goals with support from an outside, professional coach. Your goals can focus on your career (improving your time management or communication skills, building leadership skills and confidence as a new manager, devising a plan for that dream promotion, etc.)—or they can focus on work/life balance, or a combination of both. Your boss and HR department are not involved. This is just about you, me, and results. |
What I ask of you:You are willing to get your hands dirty a little and do the work.
You will commit wholeheartedly to this process (free doesn’t mean you can blow this off!) and to achieving results. You have worked in nonprofits for at least the past 5 consecutive years and plan to stay. If you do that, I will have your back and help get you where you want to be. |
